BiC Graphics Doesn't Understand The First Amendment, Apparently

Bitchy Rich
Bitchy Rich

Written by Stacey Khizder

Through out the primaries, the general election, and his Presidency, Donald Trump has stood for nothing but hatred, bigotry, sexism, greed, and selfishness. If BiC Graphics rejects these rightful criticisms of our President, then what do they aim to represent?

If you're familiar with ShopTYT, you know that 'Bitchy Rich' and 'Jurassic Prick' are some of our original and most popular graphics.

As we enter the fall and winter months (despite the unprecedented heat in the United States), Koozie's are useful merch for keeping your drink cold and fingers warm.

Apart from only making pens, BiC also manufactures Koozies. After we sent in a request for them to come in 'Bitchy Rich', 'RESIST', 'Covfefe', and 'Jurassic Prick' graphics, BiC denied our order on all four graphics by replying,

"Thank you, but we are unable to print your order. Per the terms and conditions in our catalogs, BiC Graphic reserves the right not to print any logo or message that is deemed inappropriate. Please let us know if you would like to revise your artwork, and we will place your order on hold until we receive new artwork. There are two imprints that we are unable to proceed with, as they mock the current President."

With this, BiC is denying our service because they (most likely) consider the 'Bitchy Rich' and 'Jurassic Prick' graphics offensive to Donald Trump. While they are entitled to hold this as a private and personal view, it is unjust and outrageous to deny business to paying customers because of political differences.

In America, people have the right to criticize politicians, such as the President, without a penalty. In America, there is an article called the Constitution, which allows people Freedom of Speech. In America, we are supposed to have a Democracy, not Fascist undertones, like denying service to customers because of disdain towards the President, disguised as 'freedom' and 'nationalism'.

Instead of a President in Chief that we can look up to for leadership and guidance in one of the most unusual and distressing times in modern history, we have a Mockery in Chief. Donald Trump is a bigoted narcissist who is a power-hungry, incompetent embarrassment and we will rightfully, and legally, address him as such.

Even if these Koozie's aren't available yet, our 'Bitchy Rich', 'Jurassic Prick', 'Resist', and 'Covfefe' collections are still available!

What have your experiences with BiC been? Let us know if you've submitted something to BiC Graphic and had your designs rejected!

Josh, BiC does not have the right to deny service because they disagree on political matters, it would be like an employer firing someone for being a Republican. If I were the one making these decisions I wouldn’t turn away nazi’s or white supremacists, some context maybe, I’m Bi-Racial, half white/half black. It’s there job to act as a medium for people to express themselves, internet service providers can’t turn down customers because of a post on social media, they effectively do the same thing.

You are saying the first amendment allows you to force other people to spread your speech. That’s not freedom of speech. They have every right to deny your business. Just the same as a business has the right to deny the KKK or nazi’s. Like the other commentator said find a local, they are better for the economy anyway.
