Product Description

The watermelon is a powerful symbol of Palestinian identity, resilience, and peaceful resistance.

In 1967 after the Six-Day War, the Israeli government banned public displays of the Palestinian flag in the West Bank and Gaza so people began holding sliced watermelons in public as it shared the exact colors of the Palestinian flag—red, green, white, and black.  The watermelon serves as an international emblem of support for Palestinian rights and freedom.
